Shoe
Directions
It is highly recommended
that you make a pattern out of paper or felt when making your own shoes.
Once you have the pattern, it will be easy to trace and cut from a piece
of leather or other heavy material.
-
Place your foot on
whatever material you are using for your pattern.
-
Mark a large triangle about 3” or so
larger than your foot. The heel should be at the widest part of the
triangle. The sides should be able to fold over the top of your
foot. The pattern will look like
this.
-
Lace the two sides that will go over
the top of your foot together like
this.
-
Pull the two sides of the heel
together and lace, then lace across the inside of the bottom of the
heel like
this.
-
The material that is left above the
ankle should be folded down and two to four eyelets made so you can
add a lace to hold the shoe tight to your foot. The finished shoe
should look like
this.
